We are a Mother-Daughter online shop based in the Dominican Republic. Just the two of us working together in this beautiful project that started more than 10 years ago. I'm Angie (nice to meet you!) and the lady below is Cleo, my beautiful mother.
First, it was only a dream since I worked a full-time job as an executive of one of the biggest telephone companies in the country.
The Larimar Shop started to take shape after given birth to my first child. I was splitting my time between work and family, trying to find the right Work-Life Balance (Still working on it!!) to comply with everything or almost everything. This was when my second child was born. At this point, I started thinking about putting my efforts into something that I genuinely love and be able to spend more time with my family.
One Mother. One Daughter. One Dream
On the other hand, my mom had always been related to the artisan world. Having the chance to meet most of our local artisans and working with tourist groups from around the world.
We always had the dream of showing the world the incredible workmanship of our Dominican artisans. Their art has been learned during generations, exhibiting beautiful jewelry with traditional clean lines and classic designs.
I decided that I was ready for more and resigned from my 13 years job. Ten years later, I would say that this has been by far the most exciting chapter of my life.

Since day one, our goal is to showcase the beauty of the Dominican craftsmanship, the Dominican culture and the warmth of our people and, most notably, our amazing Larimar stone.
As for today, we strive to obtain the best quality Larimar directly from the miners, selecting only the most beautiful Larimar stones and the rarest specimens available. This enables us to offer you fabulous pieces made from scratch by our skilled young artisans.

As for today, we are still keeping our shop small. We are the ones you talk to on the phone; the ones answering your emails, the ones on Live Chat; furthermore, we personally fulfill every order, making sure everything goes out neatly.
