Meet Yorlly—the hands and heart behind so many of our one-of-a-kind pieces
At The Larimar Shop, every piece we create carries a story. Behind each polished stone and refined design is the touch of an artisan whose hands have shaped not just jewelry, but a journey. Today, we’re honored to share the story of Yorlly—a master in stone finishing and mounting whose path into craftsmanship began long before he knew its name.
From a young age, Yorlly was surrounded by the rhythm of resilience. At just 13, he began working to support his family, stepping into a world that would eventually become his craft. His first task? Washing silver pieces in a small workshop. It may seem simple, but it was the beginning of a lifelong commitment to detail and dedication.

In the early days, mistakes were part of the process—like the time he accidentally broke a delicate omega 9. But rather than discouragement, he was met with understanding and mentorship. He began to learn not just how to finish Larimar stones, but how to read them, feel them, and bring out their natural brilliance with skill that only comes from years of hands-on practice.
Yorlly trained under seasoned artisans, absorbing everything from sanding techniques to the subtle science of mounting. Over time, he became one of the few craftsmen capable of working with even the smallest Larimar stones by hand—finishing them without the aid of modern tools, and always with care.

Mastering the smallest details. Yorlly is one of the few artisans who can hand-finish even the most delicate stones.
His work is marked by integrity. If a piece wasn’t right, he spoke up. If something could be better, he refined it. He didn’t cut corners, even when it meant tension. “I’m not one to just go along with it,” he shared. “If I see something wrong, I say it. Because that piece—someone’s going to wear it. It matters.”
As he gained experience, Yorlly’s role evolved. From helping perfect new designs to contributing to the structure and function of more complex pieces, his influence began to shape the very look and feel of our handcrafted Larimar jewelry. Today, his craftsmanship is woven into the DNA of our designs—each piece carrying not just the essence of Larimar, but the dedication of the hands that brought it to life.
When you wear a Larimar ring or necklace, you’re wearing more than a stone. You’re wearing years of tradition, trial, and tenacity. You’re carrying a story—Yorlly’s story. And in it, we’re reminded that true beauty isn’t just in what you see, but in what it took to create it.
Each stone, shaped with intention. Yorlly brings out the natural beauty of Larimar—one careful touch at a time
